Cathy E. Duquette, PhD RN NEA-BC CPHQ FNAHQ
Cathy Duquette is currently Executive Vice President for Nursing Affairs for Lifespan. In this role, she is responsible for co-leading the system strategy for quality, safety and patient experience, as well as leading the organization’s efforts to implement Lean and Six Sigma across the health system. Dr. Duquette was certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt in 2014. She is an active member of NAHQ and was inducted as a NAHQ Fellow in 2013. Since 2010, she has served on the editorial board of the Journal for Healthcare Quality, currently serving as Associate Editor. She authored the leadership and management module of Q Solutions: Essential Resources for the Healthcare Quality Professional, 3rd edition (2012) and has been published in professional journals. She has served on a number of state and national task forces involving leadership development, hospital performance measurement, quality improvement, public reporting, and nursing workforce.
