Attendees will learn about the Strategic Innovation Engine at CMS and the process for submitting their innovative healthcare practices for evaluation. The importance of AIM statement construction and a focused approach to measuring quality will be discussed. Participants will be encouraged to engage with the presenters via the chat and question functions to discuss untapped areas of quality improvement that could benefit from the spread of innovation.

Speakers:
Tennille D. Daniels, MPH PMP
Tennille D. Daniels, MPH, PMP is a Research Associate at IMPAQ International. She is an experienced manager of health care quality improvement and patient safety projects at the federal, state and local level. With over ten years of experience, she has successfully demonstrated expertise in program management, strategic planning and implementation, managing client/stakeholder relationships, meeting management and performance improvement. She currently serves as Project Director for the Strategic Innovation Engine, a CMS funded project, charged with rapidly deploying high value, high impact innovations through the Quality Improvement Network – Quality Improvement Organization (QIN-QIO) program and the broader health care community. Prior to IMPAQ, Ms. Daniels served as a Senior Program Manager with a focus on operations for the American Hospital Association(AHA)/Health Research & Educational Trust (HRET) Hospital Engagement Network, a $120 million dollar federally funded project by CMS as part of the Partnership for Patients Campaign.
Nicole Keane, MSN RN
Nicole Keane, MSN, RN, is an Associate – Nurse Researcher in HPOL who joined Abt in 2014. Currently, she is project director/task lead for CMS projects in healthcare quality, home health quality and value based purchasing. She presented at the CMS 2015 Quality conference, 'Bridging the Gap between Research and Quality Improvement to Drive Innovation and Accelerate Improvement.' She came from the Partners Healthcare Network and while at Partners worked on numerous quality improvement projects including, 'Managing CHF Home Care Patients via Utilization of a Clinician Care Bundle.' She previously sat on the Board for the Massachusetts Association for Healthcare Quality and has a strong interest in healthcare quality. Nicole created the MGH Equity in Action project for the Massachusetts General Hospital Patient Care Services department to facilitate equitable patient care at the bedside. Nicole holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing, Management, Policy and Leadership from Yale University.
