In this webinar, we will review the experience of a mid-sized health plan that undertook a comprehensive study of its member population. We will review the specific steps necessary to study a population of interest, as well as outline the specific data-acquisition and analytics needs that must partner with clinical expertise to derive a meaningful map of the population. Armed with this study, decisions about interventions and priorities become more clear and less open to subjective prioritization. Key concepts include relative risk and magnitude-vs-impact assessment. Using a population study to inform Quality planning is essential to targeting the right people with the right intervention at the right time and with the right level of intensity.
