A person's ability to maintain their physical health is dependent on their mental health. This statement is supported by the American Hospital Association that has stated that "physical and mental health care are essentially indivisible". The percentage of the population that have a primary or co-morbid psychiatric disorder is high and will continue to rise for many years to come. The movement towards population health is a significant step towards improving the wellbeing of Americans, but, the movement cannot be successful without the integration of behavioral healthcare. This learning lab will review the high prevalence of behavioral health disorders and discuss how behavioral healthcare integration can help ensure the success of population health. Concrete interventions will be discussed and a tool box of resources will be provided to the attendees. Presenter: Monica Cooke, BSN MA RNC CPHQ CPHRM FASHRM
